The Laramie Project

November 6-14, 2020

Gunn Theatre is proud to tell the story of Matthew Shephard, a gay college student who was kidnapped and beaten by two men, tied to a fence, and left to die in the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming in 1998. The play is based on over 200 interviews with Laramie residents. With a cast of 17 performers playing more than 75 roles, Gunn's powerful online production uses innovative storytelling to try to make sense of this hateful and violent incident, which has if anything become even more relevant and important today. This is a hard-hitting and unforgettable show -- one you won't want to miss!

Play in a Day

December 19, 2020

Gunn Theatre alumni and current students come together to rehearse and perform ten-minute plays in one 24 hour period! Authors write their play overnight, and the following day everyone rehearses until showtime at 7:30 that evening. The results are always astonishing and often miraculous!

This year’s Play-in-a-Day was renamed “Nine” and took place online due to Covid.
