October 27-November 4, 2024

Called “The funniest play Broadway has ever seen” (Huffington Post)! The Cornley Drama Society is producing The Murder at Haversham Manor, an English Whodunit of 1922, where every character possesses a motive to murder the unsuspecting Charles Haversham. These thespians of The Cornley Drama Society have produced many plays before and think they are ready for something a bit more complex. Yet, nothing in this play-within-a-play can go right! Join us this October for every actor’s nightmare,The Play that Goes Wrong, by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer & Henry Shields.

Play in a Day

December 22 and 23, 2023

Gunn Theatre alumni and current students come together to rehearse and perform ten-minute plays in one 24-hour period! Authors write their plays overnight, and the following day everyone rehearses until showtime at 7:00 that evening. The results are always astonishing and often miraculous!

A Midsummer
Night’s Dream

March 15-23, 2024

Come join Gunn Theatre for drama, music, and hijinks this March when we open Shakespeare’s lively comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Set in New Orleans circa 2018, soul mates Lysander and Hermia must flee the city into the bayou because Hermia’s father demands she marry Demetrius. Demetrius follows Hermia, and poor Helena follows Demetrius. While in the woods, the king of the fairies and his mischievous assistant, Puck, get involved in the lovers’ quarrel to a hilarious and catastrophic end. Mix in some amateur actors preparing a play for Duke Theseus and Hippolyta’s wedding day, and you have a highly entertaining production not to be missed!

Spring Festival

May 9-11, 2024

Come join Gunn Theatre for Spring Festival, where the seniors take over! This year we have two fabulous projects: The first is Act One of Sandy Ruskin’s The Cottage, a flirty, British comedy, directed by Mariam Kubursi and Theo Waltuch. The second is Ophelia, a one act play that melds themes and characters from Hamlet and Angels in America, while discussing mental health issues. Ophelia is written and directed by Chania Rene Corail.
